SBS Waterproofing Sheet
The elastomeric modified asphalt waterproofing sheet is made from SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) thermoplastic elastomer modified asphalt as the material, with polyester felt and glass fiber reinforced polyester felt as the base fabric, and fine sand, mineral granules, PE film, aluminum film, etc. as the covering materials. It is formed through mechanical stirring and grinding of the elastomeric modified asphalt.

Scope of Application
Waterproofing projects and waterproofing and moisture-proofing for the roofs, walls, basements, bathrooms, etc. of industrial and civil buildings; waterproofing for buildings such as bridges, roads, parking lots, swimming pools, tunnels, reservoirs, etc.; particularly suitable for buildings with frequent structural deformations and in cold regions; protection and coating of pipelines and anti-corrosion layers, as well as waterproofing.

Basement treatment:
Before laying the waterproof layer, all other construction works should be completed first, and then the base surface should be cleaned.
2. The base layer should be flat, solid, without looseness, chipping, bulging, unevenness or cracks. If any of the above problems occur, it must be repaired with cement mortar mixed with 107 adhesive.
3. The base layer should be relatively dry, with a moisture content of no less than 8%.
4. The parapet wall, corners, pipe penetrations through walls, expansion joints, and drainage slopes should all comply with the design specifications.
SBS self-adhesive waterproof sheet cold bonding construction method:
First, apply a uniform layer of the petroleum-based base treatment agent (cold primer) to the base layer.
2. After the base treatment agent has dried, apply the adhesive (chloroprene adhesive or SBS adhesive) and ensure it is applied evenly in one go.
3. After placing the modified sheet material at the predetermined position, start the laying process. Both the longitudinal and transverse directions should leave a 10cm overlap seam. Use adhesive to level it, and after drying for several minutes, use a roller to compact it firmly.
4. If the project requires double-layer waterproofing, the longitudinal joint of the second layer must be at least one-third apart from that of the first layer, and the transverse joint must be more than one meter apart.
SBS waterproofing sheet hot-melt construction:
Apply the base treatment agent (same as cold construction method)
2. Place the sheet material at the predetermined position. Use a liquefied gas or gas oil blowtorch to heat the base layer and the underside of the sheet material. Once a thin layer of asphalt on the surface melts, continue to roll the sheet material forward while baking it, and use a roller to compact it. Pay attention to adjusting the size of the flame to melt the asphalt on the surface of the sheet material. Do not allow it to flow excessively, nor should it be baked through.
3. The longitudinal and transverse overlaps of the sheet material are both 10 cm. The sealed edges are heated and sealed with a blowtorch.
4. Double-layer waterproofing. The seams of the sheet materials must be staggered as per the regulations.
5. When the thickness of the sheet material is less than 3mm or the covering material is an aluminum film, the hot-melt construction method should not be used.
Notes:
The waterproof base (leveling layer) must be hard, flat, dry (with a moisture content not exceeding 10%), clean, and should not have any sanding or sharp objects.
2. Construction shall not be carried out if there is snow, water or ice on the base surface of the work area.
3. The membrane waterproofing material should not be applied under negative temperature conditions. If it is applied in such conditions, measures must be taken to ensure that the waterproof layer laid down does not have any cracks or poor adhesion.
4. When laying the sheet materials, one should constantly squeeze them with hands to expel the air, to prevent the occurrence of bulging.
5. When handling the sheet materials, they should be carefully lifted and placed upright. Do not throw or drop them, as this may cause damage.
